Air Force 25

My homie Justin Blythe led this web only animation over at Star Dust. What a blasty blast he must have had getting to work on this project. I love the transitions and trapper keeper looks of it. Keep truckin holmes! Just go watch it already!

Jen Stark

Jen Stark creates beautiful 3D paper based sculptures with vibrant colors and incredible depth. Her work is very simple and elegant with a charming that feels universal. With so much esoteric art out there it is refreshing to see something that easily pleases the eye while still maintaing a very current and fresh perspective. I am a big fan.

I-Manifest

I-Manifest is a small designer tee boutique that specializes in creating limited edition silk-screened tees. I have been invited by the founders, Matt and Aaron, to design a tee for their upcoming line and I am super stoked. Keep an eye out for that in the near future. Until then check out their online store or their studio which is located in Brooklyn, NYC. Good guys, good work!

SOFT GOLD

Soft Gold, a studio in NYC has done some really great work. As I was sifting through their work I came across a piece they did for Complex magazine that features Louis' sister Barbara as one of the "Bond Girls". Pretty rad huh, there are a couple other photos of her in this set among some other really great work.

Ray Caesar

Ray Caesar makes unbelievably beautiful and haunting images with precise detail and charm. What’s crazy is that these are not paintings, they are 3D renders that are texture to the finest of details. His site isn’t designed very well but nevermind that, his artwork is some of the most inspiring I have seen in some time. AMAZING!

Inspired Hip-Hop Album Covers

Hip-hop has been and always will be about sampling. What I find interesting is the visual sampling artists have done by taking an image and twisting it just enough to give it new meaning. Read more about it at Format Mag.

Nom de Guerre

Nom de Guerre's collection is simple and uses different materials, cutting, and patterns to make their brand differentiate from other labels with simple styles. Their slim and sleek look will be quite popular as both Streetwear and high fashion are certainly leaning towards that style.

Squeezebox

Not everyone knows about Pandora, but if you don't go check it out asap. It's an online radio station that allows you to enter a song in that you like then Pandora finds songs similar in mood, style, genre, whatever. And what is even better is the new wireless transmitter Squeezebox. Squeezebox by Slim Devices is the affordable way to stream digital music and Internet radio to your stereo. So it picks up a station like Pandora or my other favorite radio station KCRW and transmits it to your stereo.

Psst! Pass it On Works in Progress

Psst! Pass it On is an exquisite corpse project involving many of the top designer/animator/directors in my industry. I was honored to be included as a contributor to this fun and experimental project. I myself collaborated with my friends Stephen Kelleher, David Lewandowski and Juicy Wang. I am most excited that I have fulfilled one of my life-long dreams which is to make and star in a zombie flick. The series of movies will launch in March but you can view our works in progress at my and Ashley's Flickr now.

Bill Sullivan

New York photographer Bill Sullivan has created a fascinating set of images with his series titled More Turns. As subjects passed through a subway turnstile, during the split second that the bar was pushed forward, their picture was taken. Standing eleven feet away and pretending to read a magazine, Bill Sullivan creates portraits of New Yorkers unaware that they are being photographed. The result is an honest look at a cross section of New York. Be sure to visit his site to see more of his work.

Open Edition LED Clock

Most alarm clocks don't really catch my eye. This digital LED clock has the perfect balance of contemporary and retro 70s/80s influence for me. It's designed by a boutique technology brand called Open Edition and you can pick it up at You Say Tomayto.

Nixon Rotolog Watch

So I am not much of a watch person, I have a cell and an 3 ipods that help me tell time. But I decided that this is the ILLEST watch of all time. It reminds me of an Eames Lounge chair because of the wood grain and simple modern style. Nixon has a plethora of amazingly stylish and quite affordable watches to choose from, as well as other accessories.

Rayban Aviator RB3311

I recently bought my first pair of expensive designer shades. I was thinking of these killer Bulgari's that we saw in La Jolla while we were on a weekend trip yet I held off because they were $400+. These were half the price and twice as fly. I seriously think they make the SICKEST shades.

Hello Logan

So what or who is Logan you might be asking yourself. Logan is the studio founded by Ben Conrad and Alex Tylevich. Logan is the studio I am currently booked at until March or so. iPod “Party”

Check out the new iPod “Party” spot that I art directed and designed with a great team at Logan including my homie Delfino, the great George Katz, The Juice man, sweetie pie Meghan, Linky Link and J to the Wu. Everyone involved did a stellar job and we are all happy with the results. It was recently shown at the Mac Expo in San Francisco and Steve Jobs introduced them to the audience stating that we had fun doing them and we did. They should be all over the television soon. Let me know what you guys think. Watch it here!

Hello

So I decided I wanted to get my blog up and going to let all of my friends and family keep up with what's going on out here in Hollywoodland. Bookmark it and check on it once a week for updates. I am also going to use this as a way for me to keep up with stuff I dig. So here it is, enjoy!
