World Pinhole Camera Day

Hitchcock Classics

Alfred Hitchcock is by far the most influential directors of all time. To tribute him, Vanity Fair brought on some amazing actors to partake in beautiful recreations of some of the most iconic scenes from his films. It is a collection of 11 photos taken by a variety of leading commercial photographers. There is also a great making of video with behind the scenes action. Be sure to check them out, they are pretty amazing.

Miles Aldridge

Miles Aldridge is the son of art director Alan Aldridge. He is in my opinion, one of the top fashion photographers out there. His images are like snapshots from film noir, albeit slightly more glamourous. His use of saturated color and dramatic lighting is amazing and very inspirational.

Bill Sullivan

New York photographer Bill Sullivan has created a fascinating set of images with his series titled More Turns. As subjects passed through a subway turnstile, during the split second that the bar was pushed forward, their picture was taken. Standing eleven feet away and pretending to read a magazine, Bill Sullivan creates portraits of New Yorkers unaware that they are being photographed. The result is an honest look at a cross section of New York. Be sure to visit his site to see more of his work.
